Sr. Engineering Manager
Your JobAs Sr. Engineering Manager for Connected Mobility Solutions Networking Segment in China, your role will involve overseeing the engineering activities related to high-speed connectors and cable assemblies specifically in the Chinese market. What You Will DoStaff & Internal Development Plan and manage resources within and outside of your team to ensure multiple products and multiple designs within the product families are adequately staffed. Effectively communicate roles responsibilities, expectations and goals to your direct reports, business unit and division. Empower & keep your team accountable for their project activities. Mentor engineers by providing guidance or training resources on proper design selection and analysis techniques. Product and development Lead a regional team of connector and cable assembly product engineers who will execute activities of product development from initial quoting into and through production with the quality, timing and cost metrics set forth in Molex’s internal standards. Guide your team through the development process by helping to identify all external and internal requirements, designing, assessing, and mitigating risk and documenting conformance to the identified requirements. Oversee and manage standard product offering requests from customers. This includes managing and leveraging the engineering metadata to efficiently communicate with internal and external customers. Efficiently share knowledge of design guidelines, best practices and what good looks like within and outside of your team. Ensure effective collaboration of your engineering team with all cross functional team members. Identify gaps and define processes, procedures, etc. for the team to overcome obstacles. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) 5+ years of design experience of mechanical or electromechanical products. Proven leadership and mentoring experience. ·Chinese: Native level or at least Business Level of communication·English: Fluent (ability to read, write, and lead technical discussions)What Will Put You Ahead·5 years+ of Working experience in design and development of electrical terminals, Connectors and Headers, Cable assemblies for High-speed automotive applications.·Knowledge in automotive connectors requirements such as USCAR·Knowledge of Chinese customers, Tier1 working style and High-Speed Connectors Chinese market trend·Working experience with global companies.·Knowledge in Signal Integrity for high-speed applicationsAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
