Sr. Engineering Manager

What you will doThe primary responsibility for this role is to manage post-sales engineering for Controls, Mechanical, Fire and Security System global projects as per country specific standards. Develop, manage team of delivery managers, project leads and team members to support regional engineering activities. Maintain project quality, on time delivery and manage escalations. Should handle multiple regions/engineering scopes with delivery managers, total team of 40-60 peoples. Drives innovation and continuous improvement, Mentor and monitor performance of team and individual team members.How you will do itDrive Regional Strategy to meet / exceed Revenue TargetEffectively coordinate with Regional Ops. Team to drive revenue conversion & Margin improvement initiatives.Manage engineering resources efficiently across regions to optimize operations costMonitor Engineering cost Vs Revenue to prevent under absorptionPublish Regional engineering team performance report on monthly basis to all StakeholdersEstablish strategy / mechanism to drive savings to improve marginsParticipate in Ops Review meetingWeekly review of Job Tracker to ensure timely completion of the request.Publish Engineering Performance report on monthly basis.Identify and drive team development activitiesCo-own business performance targets for region along with Account management counterpart and ensure that revenue/sales targets are met.Expand the JC/CoE Branch engagementAnalyze region-wise business performance and upkeep organizational design to meet business needsManage relationship between JC branch/CoE customers and India CoE for ease of businessResource capacity allocation between different delivery teams in regionDrive operational excellence and reviews for team.Implement customer segmentation model; apply individual quality standards and work processes by different customer segmentsDrive continuous process to develop the knowledge, skills and capabilities of individuals, teams and organizations to develop and deliver organizational strategy, plans and objectives.Manage account receivablesBuild positive and productive working relationships with customers for business growthPerform resource allocations to projects according to delivery requirements and ensure optimum utilization of teamEnsure that team maintains high level of competence and operational excellenceDrive project reviews & ensure highest quality on all deliveriesPerformance management and evaluation of performance of the team by providing continuous feedback on set goals, expectations, and achievementsMentor the team members and ensure they met competency target and organization expectations.Drives innovation and continuous improvement to form high performance culture in team.What we look forBE/ME (Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication).10+ Years of experience in Datacenter15+ years of relevant experience in Install and design engineering along with people management experienceStrong knowledge of Fire and Security domains with different types of product lines etc.Knowledge of Controls, Mechanical, Fire alarm, VESDA, Access control, Closed circuit television and other building and facility security systems.Experience inĀ engineering of Controls, Mechanical, Fire and Security systems for infrastructure projects like pharmaceuticals, airports, commercial buildings and hospitals.Must be a quick learner & should have a keen eye for problem solving.Should be good in people management and team management.Proficient in written and verbal communication.Ability to demonstrate good leadership skills.Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices.
