The Role:We are seeking an innovative and result-oriented Marketing Manager (3PP Channel Programs & Marketing Operations) to help pioneer and scale a high impact, strategic project which will help drive the next phase of Amazon's growth in Japan. The role owns and drives a breath of marketing programs across 3PP channels including new channel program development, measurement and analytics, and marketing technology to scale up a new 3PP vertical. This is a hands-on role with a team that has a startup mentality. You will: (1) Build and own the tools and marketing operations infrastructure to support efficient, automated execution across 26+ partner channels, while working with Account Managers and Partner Marketing to drive partner adoption and compliance of SOPs for these tools. (2) Build and test New Vertical 3PP Channel Marketing Programs for retail stores (e.g. Training, Merchandising) and develop toolkits that can be used across multiple Amazon teams (e.g. Deal Events; Amazon/Prime Engagement; Brand & Campaign). And (3) systematize 3PP measurement across 8 areas as a core input to our performance marketing approach aimed at driving growth and improving program efficiency. The right candidate combines a “product manager” aptitude with their marketing skill and can leverage that mindset to customize ‘off the shelf’ marketing operations tools to automate execution and measurement across hundreds of campaigns a year. They’re comfortable with multiple verticals and channels (e.g. physical stores, digital marketing, mobile app, paid ATL/BTL advertising) with the ability to build expertise as needed to develop standardized marketing programs across those channels. And they can effectively balance out-of-the-box thinking and innovation for our biggest programs while driving standardization and efficiency for the long tail. Key job responsibilitiesTools and Automated Programs to Scale (60%)•Expand asset review outsourcing model to new use cases and needs, automating manual approvals processes for internal team members. •Drive Compliance with Amazon SOPs and adoption of new processes that improve efficiency across 4-5 internal teams within each partner. •Build and launch a standardized workflow automation tool to automate 90% of manual campaign coordination with partners and accelerate “time to execution” so 3P campaigns launch within 1 week of Amazon dial-up.•Improve resource utilization as programs scale. Build and oversee efficient and automated operating models utilizing a combination of full time staff, flexible staff, agencies, and offshore teams.•Manage agency relationships to produce cost effective programs and drive continual improvement.Build and Test New 3PP Channel Programs (20%)•Develop comprehensive partner marketing guidance and toolkits to define precise requirements for always-on marketing and provide clear guardrails for partners as they develop seasonal campaigns.•Build and test comprehensive positioning, messaging, and brand guidelines for use across multiple internal functions like creative, O&O marketing, and partner marketing. •Develop and launch core retail stores channel marketing programs to support the new vertical initiative across retail channels such as Sales Training, Staff Incentives, Seasonal Campaign Merchandising, or BTL demand gen.•Lead creation and testing of innovative channel marketing programs such as post-sales support/classroom workshops for O60 customers. Scale successful initiatives across Amazon and 3P channels. Systematize 3PP Auditing & Measurement (20%)•Manage ongoing research to inform product and marketing including Mystery Shopping, WW Partner Brand Tracker, and Partner Media Tracking. •Lead bespoke measurement for key investment areas such as partner TV Ads and partner classroom workshops. •Automate and centralize collection partner campaign KPI metrics while maintaining compliance with privacy guidelines. •Establish and drive an ongoing “Channel Audit” mechanism to audit across 26+ partner channels across the customer journey. Track performance of programs and compliance to contract requirements, providing reporting to Partner Marketing on break/fix issues and growth opportunities.
