Job DescriptionManager of three types of engineers in the team:System engineers who create and analyze subsystems models for product definition and silicon validation.Applications engineers who create subsystem schematics/layout, validate subsystems during product bring up, and solve customer problems such as architecture, EMI and thermal.Software engineers who create software driver’s analog driver ICsCreates execution plan in collaboration with product line demand creation teams and drives execution of committed deliverables.Bring technical differentiation into the team to drive innovative solutions.Principal Accountabilities: Lead and drive a team that interacts with customers, product line demand creation teams, and field and understand the customer end application/system.Understand the system and define the most important customer problem that has to be solved.Closely work with product line demand creation teams to ensure flawless product definition.Articulate subsystem solution value proposition in the customer applicationCollaborate with applications team to develop the collateral needed to design in the product including software drivers.Lead subsystem silicon validation.Collaborate with product line on opportunity management and design in technical support.Key Performance Measures:Develop and lead strong team systems, applications, and software engineers.Number of subsystem models including both hardware and software modelsNumber of subsystem design in problems solved.Effectiveness of systems behavior modelsTechnical innovation driven in the organization.Share knowledge in and outside the company using technical collateral.Demonstrate elements of Spirit of Renesas in all aspects of work.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Experience: BSEE+12 years, MSEE +9 yearsProven track record of leading a team of engineers that innovates and develops compelling technical solutions.Proven track record of building and developing a team of systems, applications, and software engineers.Ability to work with and collaborate with technical experts worldwide in the company.Deep experience, knowledge and skills in customer applications including functional and diagnostics solutions.In-depth experience with PCB schematics and layout and corresponding CAD toolsExperience with signal processing and control theory.Experience with simulation tools such as Pspice and MatlabExperience with EMI and ESDExperience with developing functional safety solutions.Track record of successful new product executionStrong communication, technical presentation, and documentation skillsCross cultural awareness and sensitivity.Results-oriented and able to deliver on-time under tight schedule pressure.Flexible to undertake occasional international travel at short notice.Company DescriptionRenesas is one of the top global semiconductor companies in the world.
