The Group You’ll Be A Part Of Lam Research is a leading global manufacturer of capital equipment used in making leading-edge semiconductors across the world. We primarily compete in four specific areas – deposition, etch, photoresist strip, and single wafer clean. Lam Research India team is organized into three major areas of responsibility: Hardware, Software, and Operations. We have an open position in the LIGHT (Lam India Global Hardware Technology). The Hardware group, designs subassemblies and subsystems for Lam’s product lines, providing innovation for the next-generation products, providing improvements in cost and reliability. This position is a leadership role for Electrical Engineering in Etch Engineering within Etch Product Group and is based out of Bangalore. In Hardware group, mechanical engineers, simulation analysts, electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and supplier quality engineers contribute to designing and improving Lam’s products. to deliver best in class solutions for Lam’s global customers. What You’ll DoJob Responsibilities: Lead, develop, and manage a group of electrical managers, engineers and subject matter experts at Lam India performing Product Development activities for Product Group. Responsible for the research, design, development, modification, and evaluation of our product’s control system, its control signal and power distribution system as well as the design, development, modification, and evaluation of subsystems consisting of electrical, electro-mechanical, and electronic systems, down to the discrete circuit and PCBA level Determining and leading design approaches and analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results Interacts with India and US-based Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Managers of different Lam Product Groups in delivering results. Who We’re Looking ForEligibility Criteria: Years of Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience and up to 18 years Educational qualification: Bachelor / Masters in Electrical Engineering - post graduate degree preferred Mandatory Skills: 8+ years’ experience with capital equipment or similar (for e.g., chemical process, medical instrumentation, automotive, aircraft, etc.) industry in a sub-system design function. 4-6 years of prior experience in managing direct reports consisting of electrical engineers / lead engineers/ Subject matter experts working on multiple projects. Proven hands-on experience in the design, control, and productization of complex equipment, machinery, and AC/DC power distribution Proven hands-on experience in the design, development, and realization of analog and digital electronic circuits, from schematic to final released PCBA Demonstrated leadership skill in decision making and problem solving in absence of complete or accurate data. Experience in situational leadership, conducting appraisal feedback and motivating team in achieving business results. Preferred QualificationsDesirable Skills: Experience in working with cross-disciplinary teams (including mechanical, electro- mechanical, software, process, manufacturing engineers) for major projects Experience in selection of components, setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices. Awareness of standards and compliances like SEMI, SEMI S2/S22, NFPA79, NEC, UL IEC, IEEE Exposure in vendor development and concurrent engineering role.
