Sr. Operations Manager - Chemical Manufacturing

Opportunity Snapshot:


Compensation: $70K/year


Location: Deer Park, TX


Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+


Assignment Duration: Direct hire

Responsibilities:

Providing work procedures & instructions that ensure safe and efficient execution of all tasks, including safe work permits, and lock out tag out procedures


Develop and implement foundational and primary process to ensure safe reliable and efficient production


Develop long term and short-term TIP (Tactical Improvement Plan) for production department and integrate into the year Site TIP, including department development & recruitment, productivity, quality, efficiency and HSE improvement


Ensure adherence to all site procedures, work instructions and other regulations and guidelines. Walk the talk


Adherence to production budget and realize yearly improvement. Adherence to production planning, BOM and realize yearly improvement


Process owner of performance management in production: plan, review and actions


Adherence to budget and to production schedule


Ensure availability and use of MACs, driving reduction of gap between MAC and actuals


Execution of the primary work processes and the foundations (performance mgt, 5S, SWS) in production; review by Process Confirmation


Qualifications:

A bachelors degree (B.S.) in chemical engineering


7+ years experience in production, maintenance, quality, direct leadership role in chemical manufacturing


Lean Six Sigma Green belt or comparable process improvement, problem solving abilities


Hardworking, action-oriented, and results driven


Proficiency in MS Office suite. Intermediate/Strong skills in Microsoft Excel


Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills
