The Company is headquartered in Arlington, Texas, in the heart of the Dallas/Ft. Worth ‘Metroplex’. The Corporate Headquarters is located within walking distance of the iconic AT&T Stadium, home of the 5-time Super Bowl Champion Dallas Cowboys, and The Ballpark in Arlington, home of the Texas Rangers baseball club. DFW Airport is also nearby. Our Manufacturing facility is in Arlington, Texas.

POSITION SUMMARY

As Sr. Process Engineer, you will bring a blend of technical prowess in process engineering, strong leadership and communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex projects effectively. The Sr. Process Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting cross-functional teams in the introduction of new processes and equipment and will serve as the day-to-day leader of the Process Engineering team. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and improving industrial processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability. You will be expected to collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to design and implement efficient solutions that meet quality and safety standards. The Senior Process Engineer must have in-depth knowledge of process simulations, equipment design, and process control systems, as well as excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Lead and mentor a team of Process Engineers, coordinating efforts to improve machine uptime and plant-level production processes to enhance output.
  • Execute the analysis/evaluation/implementation of various manufacturing processes, equipment, and programs to support increased efficiencies, uptime, and safety.
  • Apply your deep technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems, make decisions on process design, and troubleshoot issues that arise during project execution.
  • Plan, budget, schedule, and monitor resource allocation for a team of Engineers across multiple shifts.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for the process design, including process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and operating instructions, and present reports to upper management or stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement in manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments to stakeholders.
  • Own and deliver on multiple projects and tasks across various departments, ensuring that the projects stay on track, within budget and on schedule.
  • Identify and trouble shoot potential risks in the process design and execution stages and develop strategies to mitigate these risks is a critical function.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and quality.
  • Analyze data to identify root causes of machine downtime and develop solutions to address them.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions to establish consistent, high-quality manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of project goal
  • Assist in designing support equipment/tooling as needed using 3D CAD (SolidWorks ).
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, increase efficiency and improve quality
  • Provide sustained support to the Manufacturing floor and 3rd party vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned based on business needs.

DESIRED SKILL SET

  • Hands on mechanical aptitude and exposure to manufacturing operations

  • Ability to prioritize workload to deliver on a wide variety of projects on deadline.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Data driven decision making skills – proven track record of delivering results.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and propose effective solutions
  • Experience with process simulation software such as SPC XL, Aspen HYSYS, or PRO II.
  • Ability to read and understand technical information including but not limited to: manufacturing drawings, engineering instructions, and material data sheets.
  • Proven track record of influencing teams within matrix organizational structure (across various shifts within a 24/7 production facility)
  • Occasionally move heavy parts (<50 pounds) with or without aids
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a plus

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage a team of 5 direct reports (Process Engineers and Manufacturing Engineer) and XX indirect reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICIATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Chemical, Polymer, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or equivalent from accredited university
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a Mid-High Volume Manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience at production floor level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling/drafting software, including FEA
  • Experience with high volume production/high mix environment.
  • Good understanding of machining equipment, multiple types of applications and product lines (changeovers, various tooling, molding)
  • Quality System Knowledge (ISO/QS/TS)
  • Structured Problem-Solving skill. (8D/A3)
  • SPC/CPK Data Analysis, FMEA, DVP&R
  • Capital Equipment Justifications
  • Production Equipment Capacity Planning

, BUT NOT REQUIRED

  • Plastics Industry experience (Stretch Blow Molding, Injection Molding, Extrusion Blow Molding)
  • Tooling/mold design experience
  • Experience documenting work instructions within a multi-shift manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer screen in an office environment. Ability to stand, sit and bend and spend 50% or more time out on a production floor. A moderate tolerance of loud noises if needed to go out into the production facility.
