The Sr. Process Engineer (Photolithography) plays a critical role in our organization, responsible for leading and supporting the development and improvement of photolithography processes. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of new processes, as well as the optimization of existing processes to achieve operational efficiency and product quality.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and improvement of photolithography processes to meet manufacturing objectives.
- Conduct process troubleshooting and provide guidance on equipment maintenance to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Collaborate with R D and production teams to implement new processes and technology transfers.
- Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize yield and throughput.
- Lead and support process qualification and validation activities.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process capability, stability, and efficiency.
- Provide technical expertise and support for process-related issues during audits and customer interactions.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-effective process solutions.
- Manage projects focusing on process development, cost reduction, and capacity expansion.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on process-related tasks and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in photolithography.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all process activities.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports on process performance and improvement projects.
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in photolithography process engineering within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in photolithography equipment, processes, and materials.
- Proven experience in process optimization, including exposure and focus control, resist coating and developing, and lithographic process control.
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE).
- Project management experience, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and cleanroom operations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and drive collaborative problem-solving efforts.
- Experience in process qualification, validation, and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for data analysis, process simulation, and project management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with industry standards, such as ISO, SEMI, and EHS regulations.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on precision and quality in all processes and documentation.
