Sr. Product Engineer I

Internal/External Job PostingPurpose: This position is responsible to provide support and perform project activities related with Writing Engineering Change Orders, Writing BOM’s in SAP, Correcting BOM errors, Summarizing testing data and DVP&R, conducting Tear Down to project samples and report on findings to meet customers’ requirements and expectations under the supervision and the mentoring of Lead Acid System Engineers.Assist as needed in project activities related to the build of engineering samples to measure and sample, plates, DUF and WET batteries and processes parameters.Specific Responsibilities and Deliverables:Executes activities related to the design, development, and validation of products.Prepare detailed plans to track area performance and assure timely completion and achievement of project goals.Support team members on any regional product line projects. Report on project progress to management on weekly and monthly bases.Participate in Analyzing new designs using DFMEA and risk assessment.Coordinates testing and analyzing results.:Participate in D-FMEA developmentResponsible for BOM documentation and release for ED/DV/PV trials:Plan and follow project sample testing required for OE, OES and AM programs.Lead Acid equipment and tool knowledgeWork in small teams for build execution as necessary:Supports engineering product validations required for OE, OES and AM programs.Prepare final DVP&R´sCritical Interfaces for this positionProduct leader in the regionBattery and material test lab managersProduct Development and Validation Eng.Internal Test lab managers & External test lab vendorsChange management committeeCustomer test labProgram ManagerPreferred CoursesProficiency in Microsoft: Word, Excel, Powerpoint,Production Planning & Control,Operations Research,Statistics,Process Fundamentals,General Chemistry & Physics–Mechanics,Quality Assurance,SolidWorks,Mathematics,Qualifications: BS in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Automotive engineering.Battery or automotive industries.Knowledge in Six Sigma preferredTravel expectation is 10 - 20% between Milwaukee and other Clarios sites as necessary#LI-PR1About Clarios: Clarios is the global leader in advanced, low-voltage battery technologies for mobility. We power progress through ever-smarter solutions for virtually every kind of vehicle. With 16,000 employees in over 140 countries, we bring deep expertise to our Aftermarket and OEM partners, and reliability, safety and comfort to everyday lives. We answer to the planet with a rigorous ESG focus – advancing best-in-class sustainability practices and advocating for them across our industry.
