Sr. Structural Engineer
Job Details Description The Sr. Structural Engineer will be part of a collaborative design team working on new construction and renovation projects. Our Structural Designers and Engineers possess an entrepreneurial spirit which produces excellent working relationships with multi-disciplinary teams to design and deliver world-class buildings. The Sr. Structural Engineer reports to the Structural Team Leader. Responsibilities: Works closely as a member of one or more project teams and assists to complete projects on aggressive schedulesDirects Revit designers for preparing construction documents.Implements and utilizes Woolpert Best Practices for projects and processesActively seeks new knowledge and continuing education related to structural engineering practices, principles and regulations changesPerforms structural design and analysis for various structural materials, including steel, concrete, wood and masonryDevelops, modifies and reviews models, plans, details and drawings of structural engineering systems and components according to established standards and modeling techniquesUtilizes knowledge and experience in applying modeling principles for complete and accurate drawingsProvides mentoring to junior staff and contributes to their professional developmentAssist managers with client interface and growing the businessOther duties as assigned Requirements: Bachelors degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or ABET accredited disciplineProfessional Engineer (PE) license or Structural Engineer (SE) license8+ years of related work experience managing multiple projects and familiar with Revit, AutoCAD, RISA 3D, Floor and FoundationExperience working with a variety of structural materials and systemsBasic knowledge about sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines preferredExperience with parking garage and industrial structure design preferredDemonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environmentAbility to provide excellent customer serviceStrong technical proficiency required, including Microsoft Office productsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environmentAbility to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goalsWillingness to travel under current safety protocols to project sites or offices as needed based on assigned projects or as required for team collaboration Quickly adapt and respond to industry changes as well as internal initiatives Qualifications Skills Behaviors : Motivations : Education Experience Licenses & Certifications Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
