Title: Senior Structural Engineer

COMPANY PROFILE:

Our client is an established consulting structural engineering firm specializing in building structures across a wide range of sectors. The firm works with public and private clients on high-end residential, educational, municipal, multi-family, commercial, life sciences, cultural, FEMA, and DOD projects.

POSITION PROFILE:

Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager to take charge of leading the design of delegated design items for a large Bridge project. The duration of this engagement is March 2025 through May 2030. Remaining on our client's staff at the end of the projects tenure is a possibility.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

The Senior Structural Engineer will manage a mixture of small, medium, and large-scale tasks, performing analysis and design on an individual basis in support of the client needs as it relates to delegated design items on the project.

• Analysis and design of traditional and progressive structural systems
• Analysis and design of temporary enclosures.
• Analysis and design of retaining wall systems.
• Analysis and design of crane picks.
• Preparation of reports and construction documents.
• Construction administration, and regular site observations.
• Senior Structural Engineer will also be responsible for writing and editing technical specifications and managing Client relationships.
• Daily presence in Norwalk, CT is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Professional Engineering License (PE) in the state of Connecticut.
• BS or MS degree from an ABET-accredited university in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Structural Engineering, preferably in a Consulting environment.
• Heavy civil engineering experience is a plus.

Salary Range:$125,000 up to $150,000
