Our team specializes in developing cutting-edge vision and audio-based applications that revolutionize various industries by enabling capabilities such as human presence detection in the mass production PC market. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Engineering.  Responsibilities & Competencies   Job Duties Collaborate with hardware teams to develop and test AI hardware components, including sensors and embedded systems  Design, develop, and review product schematics and layouts  Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into products, ensuring seamless interaction between hardware and software components  Provide in-depth technical support for the implementation and integration of AI solutions, specifically in vision-based applications such as human presence detection  Conduct rigorous testing and validation of applications to ensure they meet performance standards and customer expectations  Partner closely with customers to understand their technical needs, provide solutions, and address any issues that arise during the implementation phase  Competencies Proactive, self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment Well organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate Positive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions and explore new ideas Resourceful analytical thinker, able to solve complex problems through practical use of technology and a solid understanding of product architecture Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to customers and internal teams  Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse cross-functional team   Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English Qualifications (Requirements)   Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field or equivalent 5+ years of experience in a system engineer or similar technical role focused on hardware development Strong experience with hardware components and embedded systems Track record of designing and reviewing schematics and layouts for electronic hardware Proficiency in using CAD software for schematic and layout development Experience in providing high-quality technical support and building strong customer relationships Hands-on experience in deploying vision-based AI solutions involved with cameras and computer vision highly desired Collaborative and innovative work culture with opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth  Occasional travel up to 10% may be required for customer site visits and support     Belief in Diversity Synaptics is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to workforce diversity.
