Location: Hybrid within the Southeastern Region (1–2 days onsite, up to 50% travel as needed)

Description:
The Senior Systems Engineer / Principal Engineer will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and administering network and security-related software and hardware, with a focus on physical infrastructure at branch locations and during acquisitions. This role oversees network migrations, security risk assessments, and IT integration playbook execution to ensure smooth business operations. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with IT leadership and security teams to maintain and enhance network security and infrastructure best practices.

Responsibilities:
Network & Security Administration:
Support enterprise-class data center network equipment and vendor-supplied infrastructure.
Configure and troubleshoot IP routing protocols, switching topologies, wireless networks, VoIP, VPNs, and MPLS.
Monitor and maintain WAN, LAN, organizational security, and server architecture.
Provide Level 3 network support for branch locations, troubleshooting issues as needed.

IT Integration & Acquisitions:
Lead network assessment and migration efforts for newly acquired locations.
Maintain and execute the IT integration playbook to ensure seamless transitions.
Perform security risk assessments to audit and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

Cloud & Virtualization Support:
Administer and troubleshoot cloud platform resources, including virtual machines, storage, and networking.
Support hybrid IT environments, ensuring seamless integration between on-premise and cloud-based systems.
Plan and execute cloud-based projects, including migrations, upgrades, and security enhancements.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management:
Monitor network security logs and generate periodic security reports for stakeholders.
Implement security policies and technologies to enhance organizational cybersecurity posture.
Stay current with cybersecurity trends, social engineering tactics, and threat mitigation strategies.

Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Systems Engineering.
5+ years of experience in incident detection, response, and forensic analysis.
Expertise in firewalls, security management, endpoint security, and cloud security solutions.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in Wi-Fi design, security infrastructure, and advanced authentication solutions.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Desired Skills:
Experience with virtualization technologies, cloud security awareness training, and endpoint protection solutions.
Industry certifications such as Cisco Network Certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or Microsoft Azure

Employment Type:
Perm/Full-Time

Compensation:
$125,000 – $160,000 per year
