Our client's organization is on a mission to advance America's transition to carbon-free energy. They are based in Minnetonka, MN, where they have been providing clean energy technologies for over 15 years. The company is in growth mode and expanding rapidly; they are looking for an individual driven by sales and motivated to help continue to grow the brand.

Position Overview

This person will be part of the organization's Commercial Energy team, which focuses on providing solar energy, battery storage, and EV charging solutions for commercial, industrial, civic, and multi-family properties.

As a Senior Territory Manager, you will be the day-to-day face of the company, interacting with customers within a dedicated region of Minnesota. This individual's responsibilities will include educating prospects on how solar energy, battery storage, and EV charging can add value to their businesses by building customized proposals that address each customer's individual circumstances and needs. You will guide customers through the process from research to purchase. Once a project is successfully closed, the company's operations team takes over day-to-day responsibility for project execution. The sales individual provides general continuity and support to ensure the customer's needs are met throughout the project.

This role reports directly to the VP of Sales. The ideal candidate is driven by success, well-organized, self-motivated, and collaborative in delivering great outcomes to their customers as they deploy EV charging infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of sales experience, with 3+ years of success in selling into high-ticket construction, real estate, or capital sales/products.

Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, develop, and close new business.

Strong written & verbal communication skills, including the ability to proficiently conduct technical & non-technical internal & external conversations.

Ability to build basic financial modeling around project economics, translating to project finances and providing a clear customer value proposition.

Strong drive for success and a growth mindset toward continuous improvement.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Additional Context for Role & Experience

Previous experience in clean energy is beneficial but not required for success.

Working familiarity with electrical infrastructure is beneficial but not required for success.

Limited travel may be required depending on customer needs.

This is a full-time (W2) position hired directly with this client. The compensation includes a base salary plus commission, with benefits and the potential for merit bonuses based on individual and team success. The commission structure is uncapped and designed to encourage long-term success.
