We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team and help us maintain financial excellence in the construction industry.

Position Summary:
We’re looking for a Staff Accountant with strong bookkeeping and financial management skills to handle QuickBooks Online, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and support cash flow and P&L oversight. This role requires a professional with construction industry experience who can collaborate with operations and management teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping & Accounting:

  • Manage daily bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks Online.
  • Handle AP, AR, and ensure timely invoice processing and collections.
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.

• Construction-Specific Financial Tasks:

  • Oversee job costing, progress billing, and subcontractor payments.
  • Manage lien waivers, COIs, and other industry-specific financial processes.

• Financial Analysis & Cash Flow Management:

  • Prepare and analyze cash flow projections.
  • Conduct monthly P&L reviews and provide financial insights to management.
  • Assist with budget creation and variance analysis.

• Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with project managers, production teams, and leadership.
  • Support financial decision-making with accurate data and reporting.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial roles.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
• Familiarity with construction accounting, including job costing and progress billing.
• Strong understanding of cash flow management and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance teams.

Skills:

• Knowledge of Procore or other project management tools.
• Experience in the construction industry or a similar field.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (, but not required).
