What you will be doing Interfacing with the product management team to scope and design featuresWriting highly scalable, production ready codeUnderstanding and replicating complex customer topologies for dev testingInterfacing with QE and ensuring the scope of QE testing is meets requirements Required skills and experience 8+ years of relevant industry experience, including product development, test and automation Strong expertise in L2/L3 networking concepts, routing protocols, VPN, IPSec and WAN architectureC++/Golang are the primary languages of choice; strong expertise requiredA solid understanding of Docker & k8s with a particular focus on docker/k8s networkingExperience building and working with scalable cloud native multi-tenant architecturesFamiliarity with one of the major server virtualization products (ESXi, KVM) & IaaS platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)Familiarity with functional test tools, packet crafting/replaying and security test toolsSystem/server side experience for troubleshooting and strong knowledge of LinuxGood working knowledge in CI/CD deployment in public cloudsFamiliarity with source code systems like GithubExperience being part of the escalation layer for customer issuesKnowledge of userland packet forwarding architectures is a mustHigh performance DMA packet I/O e.g. DPDK/Netmap are a big plusStrong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate in an open, transparent and consistent manner with team and co-workers.
