Staff Systems Integration EngineerRole: Permanent Hybrid is aligned with the Limerick or Cork offices.The growth and demand for health monitoring has and will continue to grow exponentially. ADI is well positioned to leverage its core sensor and signal processing technology to take advantage of this growth. We are looking for an energetic, experienced system/hardware engineer who can couple the advanced technologies being developed at ADI with the physiological challenges the market presents to establish systems for bio/medical applications.The candidate:You will work on designing and evaluating applications specific to medical devices for various sectors of the healthcare market. This role works with Biomedical Engineers to turn product requirements into clear technical specifications.A broad understanding of interactions between human physiology, electrical and mechanical engineering, and the different mechanisms involved in these interactions.Experience operating on a hardware team within a larger system-level development with an understanding of proper PCB design and layout methodologies. Previous experience complying with current medical regulations is a plus.Must have prior experience in debugging all aspects of mixed-signal hardware/firmware, with attention paid to how the design fits into the larger system.An ideal candidate has prior experience in designing and testing optical (pulse oximetry, etc.), biopotential (ECG, EMG, EEG), and bioimpedance (EDA, thoracic impedance, ICG, etc.) sensing systems and applications. A strong knowledge of systems physiology is a plus.Key Responsibilities Include:Translating requirements provided by Hospitals, Doctors, etc., into clear technical specificationsOwn (i.e., develop and execute) the design of hardware and firmware to support measuring human vital signs, including heart rate, temperature, respiratory system, and cardio system.Interface with design, test, application, software and marketing teams as the product(s) move from design to completion and distribution.Interface with the packaging group to determine the optimal form factor.Perform lab analysis and evaluation of new medical products, working with a multi-functional team to identify, simulate, and correct functional and parametric problems.Develop a thorough understanding of the system-under-test to create verification/validation plans and ensure robustness for the release of medical products.Support issues that arise during customer engagements and clinical trials.QualificationsMust possess a Masters or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Biomechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years experience#LI-CO1Job Req Type: ExperiencedRequired Travel: Yes, 10% of the timeShift Type: 1st Shift/Days
