Staff Tax Preparer/Financial Planner

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Financial Planner with a strong background in tax preparation to join our dynamic team at DeLeon & Stang CPAs & Advisors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for financial planning, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships. This role involves collaborating with clients to develop comprehensive financial plans, integrating tax strategies, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.


The position would be based in- office at our Leesburg or Frederick office locations.


Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to individual client needs, including retirement, investment, estate, and tax planning.
Conduct detailed financial analyses and prepare reports to support client recommendations.
Utilize financial planning software to model scenarios and create projections.
Prepare individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws.
Provide tax planning advice to clients, incorporating tax-saving strategies into financial plans.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
Conduct client meetings to review financial plans, discuss goals, and adjust strategies as needed.
Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Work closely with other members of the financial planning team to provide a seamless client experience.
Collaborate with tax professionals, investment advisors and other specialists within the firm to ensure comprehensive client service.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities.


Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
CPA or CFP designation or interest in progressing towards CPA or CFP certification.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation and financial planning.
Experience with financial planning software and tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax).
Strong understanding of financial planning principles, tax laws, and investment strategies.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and client-focused approach.


Qualifications:
CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation.
Experience working in a CPA firm or Wealth Management environment.
Knowledge of estate planning and retirement planning strategies.
