Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabricator/Welder to join our team in a contract to hire role in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel fabrication, welding, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints to accurately produce and assemble custom steel products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality craftsmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and weld steel components, structures, and products according to blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions.
• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and other welding techniques to join, cut, and shape steel and metal components.
• Operate and maintain a variety of fabrication tools and equipment, including saws, drills, grinders, and plasma cutters.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Measure, cut, and shape steel to specifications using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Inspect finished products to ensure adherence to specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Perform layout work and assemble steel structures, frames, and other components.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in steel fabrication and welding.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Extensive knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and experience working with steel and other metals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions.

Qualifications:

• Certification in welding (AWS or equivalent).
• Experience with CNC machines or other advanced fabrication equipment.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes for custom steel products, such as staircases, structural beams, railings, etc.
