About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Storage Administrator to manage and maintain our enterprise storage infrastructure. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, performance optimization, and implementation of our SAN and NAS systems. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise storage technologies, strong troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, manage, and operate enterprise SAN (Hitachi, IBM, EMC) and NAS (NetApp, EMC, Hitachi) systems.
• Design, implement, and manage SAN fabrics using Cisco MDS and Brocade switches.
• Utilize SAN migration tools (Hitachi, IBM, EMC) for seamless data migration.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot storage replication (OEM ).
• Deploy, install, configure, allocate/de-allocate, and migrate SAN/NAS storage.
• Manage backup and recovery solutions (EMC, Veritas).
• Implement and manage multi-location replication configurations (2-way/3-way).
• Perform performance monitoring, optimization, and capacity planning for SAN and NAS systems.
• Conduct storage solution sizing, including fabric considerations for performance, latency, and response times.
• Administer RHEL 6+ and IBM AIX operating systems.
• Understand and troubleshoot SMB, NFS, and CIFS share networking protocols.
• Implement and manage Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for storage equipment (SAN/NAS).
• Manage escalations (internal, within NSEIL, and with OEMs).

Qualifications:

• BE/B.Tech/MCA in IT/Computer Science/Electronics & Communication/Electronics or higher.
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) / Microsoft Certified Server Administrator (MCSA) / Storage OEM Certification (e.g., EMC, Hitachi) .

Experience:

• 7-10 years of experience in storage administration, management, and operations.

Technical Skills:

• Enterprise SAN (Hitachi VSPxx / IBM DSxxx / EMC VMAX / PMAX / Data Domain)
• NAS (NetApp / EMC / Hitachi)
• SAN Switches (Cisco MDS / Brocade)
• SAN Fabric design, implementation, and management
• SAN Migration Tools (Hitachi / IBM / EMC)
• Storage Replication (OEM )
• Backup & Recovery Solutions (EMC / Veritas)
• RHEL 6+ / IBM AIX
• SMB, NFS, CIFS networking protocols
