Location: Cypress, TX and this is a full time direct hire position. PE preferred but not required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Structural engineer will be responsible for the civil/structural engineering for balance of plant design of Oil & Gas projects utilizing gas turbine compressor sets & generators.

Duties include development of structures for Offshore Gas Compressor Stations, Single Life Modules, Power Generation and Co-generation Facilities, etc.

Work entails active contribution to the development of project drawings such as Structural Arrangements & Details, Foundation Designs, Civil design, etc.

Designs and specifies structural/civil components as found commonly in the Oil & Gas environment.

Participates in project design reviews, marine surveys and various other departmental meetings involving structural issues.

Interfaces with suppliers during the definition of equipment scope and throughout project execution

Assists in meetings necessary to support the lift and transportation (onshore/offshore) of large equipment.

Provides field support during fabrication, commissioning, and start-up of designed systems as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural Engineering

Applicant’s background should include familiarity with ASTM, ACI, CRSI, ASCE, OSHA, IBC & AWS.

Solid Experience with industry standard structural analysis software - STAAD Pro preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with solid knowledge and experience in Structural Calculations and Concrete Foundations
-Solid Experience with industry standard structural analysis software - STAAD.
-Solid Experience with concrete structures and foundations calculations.

-Spanish language a plus
