Structural Engineer

Our Structural Integrity team undertakes integrity inspections within the Australian resources sectors for various tier 1 clients. As a Structural Engineer, you will enjoy a balance between office-based work and site work and will play a key role in delivering high-quality inspections and assessments on mining assets for several tier 1 clients. Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you’ll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining. What you’ll do: Work in a role based at our centrally located Perth CBD office, and travel to client sites located in Western Australia and South Australia for frequent site inspections. Together with the senior engineer, perform structural integrity inspections for existing mining assets, and assess typical defects, such as impact damage, corrosion, non-compliance, and fatigue. Analyse static machinery and evaluate structural integrity. Prepare inspection reports and repair methodologies. Conduct risk analysis related to structural components. Comply with role specific SHEQ obligations and complete work in compliance with the relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards. About You You’re likely to have3 to 5 years of experience in structural design or in performing structural inspections. In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes: Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Proficiency in relevant engineering standards including AS4324.1, AS1170, AS4100, and AS3600. Sound understanding of asset management, materials handling equipment, and civil works. Ability to frequently travel to mine sites and work in remote areas. High level verbal and written communication skills. Valid WA C-class driver’s license and construction white card.
