Based in Parry Sound,the Structural Engineer will report to the Project Manager and will have a wide range of duties. You will be part of a team that offers services to private and government sector clients throughout Ontario and provides engineering solutions for bridges, buildings, and utility scale power generating facilities.What You’ll Do:The Structural Engineer will be part of the TULLOCH Engineering team. You will:Perform design and analysis of buildings, bridges, and other new and existing structuresReview, check, and approve technical deliverables including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculationsPrepare plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applicationsPrepare tenders, proposals, and cost estimatesPerform construction inspectionAssist with project management and construction administrationLiaise with clients, build client relations, and advance business developmentParticipate in public and stakeholder consultationOversee and mentor Engineering Interns and co-op studentsWho You Are:You must have a P.Eng. licence (required)You have at least 5-10 years of experience in the civil/structural consulting industryBridge design experience is an assetExtensive Building Code knowledge and/or a BCIN is considered an assetYou have experience providing mentorship and advice to those on your teamYou make decisions and exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectivesYou can pivot and alter approach to accomplish desired resultsWhat You Should Bring:The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related program.
