Job Title: Structural Engineer (Offshore Subsea Structures)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer with a strong background in offshore subsea structures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and analyzing structures such as FLETs, manifolds, suction piles, and large mudmats. Proficiency in FEA software ABAQUS (2D shell and 3D volumic) and ideally Beam software SACS, along with hand calculations, is essential. The candidate must be autonomous in design and calculation practices and capable of proposing solutions to project leads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze offshore subsea structures including FLETs, manifolds, suction piles, and large mudmats.
- Utilize FEA software ABAQUS (2D shell and 3D volumic) and Beam software SACS for structural analysis.
- Perform hand calculations to validate design solutions.
- Review and provide feedback on drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with draftsmen, ensuring data provided is accurate and timely.
- Propose innovative solutions and improvements to project leads.
- Ensure all designs meet industry standards and project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in offshore subsea structure design and analysis.
- Proficiency in FEA software ABAQUS (2D shell and 3D volumic) and ideally Beam software SACS.
- Strong hand calculation skills.
- Ability to work independently and propose effective design solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral); proficiency in French is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on previous projects involving offshore subsea structures.
- Ability to review and provide constructive feedback on technical drawings.
- Strong collaboration skills with draftsmen and other team members.
- Commitment to meeting project deadlines and delivering accurate data.
