This role as a structural engineer is fully remote and hands-on, providing the opportunity to work at various job sites daily. If you're tired of the office and crave fresh air, this is the perfect fit for you.


What You Will Be Doing


Check buildings for damage like vertical or horizontal support, roofs, foundations, and water issues.

Write reports explaining what you find during the checks.

Be helpful and friendly to people inside and outside the company.

Talk about what you found in court if needed, with help from the company's legal team.

Learn more and get extra training, and the company will pay for it.

Very occasionally travel to different places for work or training, and sometimes stay overnight.

What You Need for this Position


Be a licensed structural or civil Professional Engineer (PE).

Hold at least a bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Preferably, have 2-3 years of experience in failure analysis or related areas.

Have a valid driver's license with a good record.

Be skilled in technical writing and Microsoft Word.

Know your way around basic computer tools like Microsoft Calendar, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Be good at helping customers, working well in a team, and enjoying service-oriented work.

Work well independently, as you will be in a remote (home office) setting.

Have a reliable home internet connection and cell phone service.

Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.

Pass a pre-employment physical examination.
