Structural Engineer

You will be joining an employee-owned structural and civil engineering practice with a reputation for intelligent design and innovative, practical solutions. Established in 2007 it is now a Certified B Corporation with over 180 staff members and works with many of the UK’s leading developers and architects.



They are currently looking for a technically strong, creative and passionate structural engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join their team. Working within a supportive and welcoming team, the role will require you to produce efficient, high-quality technical designs for both new build and refurbishment projects in a wide range of sectors.  You will need to be enthusiastic, hard-working and looking to take on responsibility. 



Responsibilities: 



Undertake/ oversee the production of design calculations, sketches, and reports to a high level.



Undertake the scheme level design for small to large scale projects for presentation and sign off by the project director. 



Undertake site visits. 



Actively develop client relationships. 



Prepare proposals for small and medium scale projects and assist with proposals on more complex projects on request by a project director.



The ideal candidate:



2-4 years of structural engineering experience



Confident communicator, able to explain engineering concepts clearly and simply



Passionate about continuous learning and technical excellence



Strong interest in architecture and the relationship between structural engineering and architectural design



Committed to sustainability and reducing embodied carbon through design
