Role: Structural Engineer\n\nLocation: Birmingham\n\nSalary: Up to £42,000 depending on experience\n\nDue to a healthy forward workload, our client is currently looking to appoint Graduate Structural Engineers with up to 5 years of relevant post graduate experience.\n\nThe successful Structural Engineer will have a fantastic opportunity to work in one of the UK’s leading private Engineering Consultancies working for clients on a variety of projects spanning commercial, retail, residential and industrial sectors.\n\nAll Structural Engineers work under direct supervision of their highly experienced directors and alongside a team of dedicated engineers and technicians. They can offer an ICE approved training agreement and a route towards chartered membership of a professional engineering institution.\n\nDepending on experience as you progress you can expect to be active on a number of projects and with a number of clients at any given time.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\n * Undertake engineering analysis and prepare calculations for structural engineering projects.\n\n * Be proficient in the use of relevant technical analysis and design software.\n\n * Provide technical support to include report writing and presentations.\n\n * Willing to attend design meetings, site meetings and carryout site inspections.\n\n * Liaise and communicate clearly in a professional manner to colleagues, clients, contractors and other designers and to offer advice and guidance on matters relating to your work.\n\n * Work on projects with consideration to the agreed project budgetary limits and time-tables.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE\n\n * Bachelor or Masters’ Degree in Structural Engineering\n\nWHAT THEY OFFER YOU\n\nThe current permanent Structural Engineer employment opportunity offers a competitive salary and excellent flexible benefits package for permanent staff which includes training opportunities, reimbursement of professional fees, contributory pension, personal health care plan and life insurance, interest-free travel loan scheme, additional leave purchase and buy-back scheme, staff loyalty bonus.
