Job Description

The Structural Partnership is a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Glasgow City centre adjacent to the corner of Buchanan St and Sauchiehall St.
We have a current requirement for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team.
We have our own in-house SER Certifiers for Certification of Building Warrants.
Our projects vary in size and include minor structural alterations; Extensions; Conversions; New house builds; Tenement terrace refurbishments; Factory remodelling.
Our Client base is diverse, comprising: private individuals; small and medium sized developers: commercial; retailers; NHS; Housing Associations; and Universities.
We offer a friendly office environment with flexible working hours.
Please note this is only open to people who live within 40miles of Glasgow and have experience in this role.

Job description
You should have the ability to work under pressure, handle a varied workload and keep to tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest level of technical excellence.

As an SER Structural Engineer you will have the opportunity to work and lead on a wide range of projects.

Main duties and responsibilities will include but are:
Prepare structural designs and reports as required.
Review technical structural GA's and Detail drawings.
Prepare SER Certification for Builing Warrant - we operate on the basis that the SER can only be issued once the SER Certifier is satisfied with content of the completed package.
Undertake CPD on a weekly basis (1hr set aside during company time).

Essential Skills and Qualifications
Chartered status with active SER status.
5years previous design experience within a civil / structural engineering environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
A keen eye for detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
