ABGI Talent Solutions is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join a highly respected structural engineering firm known for its expertise in seismic engineering, forensics, healthcare, education, and construction engineering. About the Role"

As a Structural Engineer Design, you will play a key role in designing, analyzing, and overseeing structural projects, ensuring they meet stringent engineering standards and client requirements. Youll collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to develop efficient and cost-effective structural solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed structural and seismic engineering calculations for various building types.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculation packages, and design documents.
  • Develop and review models, drawings, and specifications in coordination with BIM/CAD specialists.
  • Conduct field inspections and document findings for project analysis.
  • Apply quality control techniques to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead smaller projects and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Interact with clients, architects, and project teams to provide technical consultation.
  • Adapt design methods for unique or complex project challenges.

Education & Certification:

  • Masters degree in Structural Engineering.
  • PE License (Civil Engineering) required; licensure in California or Washington .


Experience & Skills:

  • 3-5+ years of structural/seismic engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in structural design software and analysis tools.
  • Strong knowledge of seismic design codes and building regulations.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active involvement in professional organizations (e.g., SEAOC, ASCE, EERI) is a plus.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $104,000 - $117,000 per year (varies by location and experience).
