Reference - Position descriptionJob titleStructural Engineer - Rail/Ports Contract typePermanent contract Business Line specific context The Structural Engineer will be based in Egis Global Design Center in Bangkok, with a mission to support international rail transportation projects. The person will be responsible for managing the design of structures under the supervision of the Structures Lead. His work will focus on trackwork related structural work. Job description Perform structural analysis and detailed design for various types of bridges, viaducts and other civil structuresPrepare design and calculation reportsFollow / coordinate CAD and BIM production, including the following responsibilities: give instructions and guidance to CAD/BIM technicians based on the design performed, monitor production progress, ensure drawing production qualityProvide technical guidance to junior engineering staffPrepare bill of quantityAttend meetings, prepare /distribute meeting minutesPrepare technical reports, progress reports and other documentationsEnsure quality of design deliverables including calculation reports and drawingsBe familiar and comply with the companys Safety Policy and Quality Management System The scope of Works covers, but is not limited to design for railway sector concrete track slab, track-structure interaction analysis, concrete sleeper, passenger evacuation walkway, level crossing, ancillary trackwork equipmentWithin Ports Service Line, reinforced concrete structures, retaining walls, quays, other civil structures. Profile Masters Degree in Civil / Structural EngineeringMinimum of 5 years' experience in design activities related to trackworkAppetency for bridge and structural design.Relevant experience in handling, leading and checking structural designs (concrete or steel).Qualified professional able to work under limited supervisionStrong knowledge of using international codes such as Eurocodes, ACI, AASHTO.Strong experience in using structural modelling softwares such as SCIA, Robot, Midas, Sofistik, or similarExperience in working in an international context Good level of English (speaking & writing)Ability to work under pressure with good working attitude.Ability to analyse and communicate, outstanding writing skills and synthesis spirit.Experience in BIM projects is appreciated.Good standard of English and Thai languagesPosition location Job locationAsia, Thailand City BangkokCandidate criteria Minimum level of education required6-Engineers degree Minimum level of experience required6-10 years
