Location: Various locations across Saskatchewan As a Structural Engineer/Building Engineer you will be responsible for designing analyzing and overseeing the construction of building structures to ensure they are safe functional and compliant with local codes and regulations. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the structural integrity and stability of various construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Design and analyze structural components and systems for various types of buildings including residential commercial and industrial structures. Develop detailed engineering plans specifications and drawings that meet local building codes and safety standards. Conduct structural assessments and evaluations of existing buildings to determine their condition and compliance with current codes and regulations. Collaborate with architects contractors and other engineering professionals to ensure that designs are feasible and meet project requirements. Oversee and review construction processes to ensure that structural elements are built according to specifications and standards. Provide technical guidance and support during the construction phase addressing any structural issues or challenges that arise. Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation related to structural designs evaluations and construction activities. Stay updated on changes in building codes engineering standards and industry best practices to ensure accurate and innovative designs. Requirements Relevant certification or diploma in Structural Engineering Building Engineering Civil Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as a structural engineer or building engineer with a strong understanding of structural design analysis and construction. Proficiency in engineering software and tools used for structural analysis and design. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and resolve complex engineering challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with project teams and stakeholders. Detailoriented with strong organizational skills for managing design projects and documentation. Ability to stay current with evolving building codes engineering standards and industry practices.
