QWF, a leading provider of custom metal fabrication solutions, is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, with a focus on building staircase components such as handrails and stair stringers from blueprints and detailed shop drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and fabricate metal components from blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings, with a focus on structural staircases.

• Build handrails and stair stringers using a variety of metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, and welding.

• Operate metal fabrication equipment to shape and form materials.

• Perform precise measurements and calculations to ensure accurate component construction.

• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers to clarify specifications and resolve design issues.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.

• Adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices while operating machinery and handling metal materials.

• Inspect finished components for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed.

• Assist with installation of staircase components on-site as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in metal fabrication

• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, and welding.

• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and detailed shop drawings.

• Experience operating metal fabrication equipment

• Ability to perform precise measurements and calculations.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
