The Structure/Foundation Construction Foreman is responsible for managing our Structure/Foundation Construction Crew which uses a variety of heavy equipment such as but not limited to; Boom Trucks, Cranes, Lo-Drills, Pressure Diggers, Digger Derricks, Excavators, Back-hoes, Skid Steers, Dump Trucks, Equipment Haulers, etc. This crew will be primarily used for, but not limited to installing foundations and structures for traffic signals, Roadway Lighting, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and Signing. The type of installations will be such as, but not limited to; Setting Camera Poles, Setting Signs, Setting Traffic Signal and Roadway Lighting Poles, Installing Towers, Installing Mast Arms, Vertical Drilling, Installing and Concrete Foundations for Signs, Traffic Signals, and Roadway Lighting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
· Supervision of the Installation of Structures and Foundations supporting ITS, Roadway Lighting, and Traffic Signal Construction and Maintenance.
· Supervision of the Transportation of Equipment and/or Materials to and from job sites.
· Supervision of the Loading and Secure handling of material and/or equipment that is transported to and from the jobsite.
· Supervision of the securing of the jobsite, equipment and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and safety of equipment and materials.
· Supervision of the installation of MOT as required by location, road conditions, and per DOT specifications.
· Ensure the safety of employees on the job site and safe operation of equipment.
· Process Documents such as vehicle logs, driver logs, credit card receipts, daily job logs, etc.
· Read and understand project specifications and plans.
· Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to supervisors and subordinates.
· Manage the logistics of the personnel, equipment, and materials used by the Structure/Foundation Construction Crew.
Work Experience and Requirements:
· Safe and Productive Operation of various types of heavy equipment.
· Knowledge of typical construction methods for structures and foundations.
· Maintain positive working relationships with supervisors and subordinates.
· Ability to Manage teams in a fast paced, changing environment.
· Knowledge of underground utility location and construction.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in the supervision of structure and foundation construction at the level of Foreman and above.
· Minimum of 15 years of experience operating the types of heavy equipment listed above.
· Class A Commercial Drivers License with Air Brakes and Tanker Endorsements REQUIRED
· Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests
· Ability to travel frequently
· Ability to work out in the elements (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
