We are looking for individuals who can bring fresh ideas to the table, and who are willing to learn from some of the industry's most innovative and talented people.What we offerA multi-discipline program with meaningful, hands-on work experienceNetworking events coordinated by the New Grad Committee including group mentoring from senior/executive leaders, lunch ‘n learns, guest speakers, technical presentations, and holiday celebrations.Wide support network including direct leaders, program leads, human resources, peers, mentor(s), New Grad Committee, and buddy.Structured goal-setting and performance evaluations.Opportunity to present work-term learnings to the Cenovus Leadership team.Students moving for their work term may be eligible to receive a lump sum relocation payment to assist with relocation expenses.Candidates must have their means of transportation as there is no public transportation in field locations. What you’ll doAssist with tracking environmental and safety statistics.Data collection and analysisSample gatheringReport preparationUse of safety and environmental equipmentWho you areAvailable to begin work on January 6, 2025Legal authorization to work in the United StatesAs this position requires the operation of a motor vehicle, a valid US Driver's License is required.Previous experience is considered an asset.Strong attitude for carrying out all work in a safe, cautious manner while following safe work practices.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Education Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering, or a related disciplineCurrently attending an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.Strong academic performanceAbility to work 40 hours per week during the scheduled term.Able to provide a copy of an unofficial transcript.Co-op: Must return to school after the end of work termWorking ConditionsMay include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc. Safety SensitiveThis is a safety-sensitive role and as such you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the Cenovus pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements.Safety-sensitive positions require the operation of a motor vehicle. A valid US Driver’s License with no restrictions is a requirement for this role.RelocationStudents moving for their work term may be eligible to receive a lump sum payment to assist with relocation expenses.
