Mesa Associates, Inc. is looking for a designer with experience in substation physical layout design and/or checking of deliverables for medium to high voltage substations.

This position involves the preparation of design drawings such as: general arrangements, equipment plans, elevations, sections, control house layouts, grounding plan, conduit and cable plan, bills of material, cable schedules for medium and high voltage substations using AutoCAD, Inventor, P4A, Revit, Solidworks, and Microsoft Office software tools. The position requires working with others in a collaborative team environment as well as a possible small amount of travel. Experience in Inventor or Solidworks . Revit or SDS Smart Tools a plus.

Education/Experience/Licensure:

• A 2 year associates degree in engineering technology or drafting is .
• A minimum of 1 years of experience is .

Responsibilities include:

• Must have the ability to produce error free work and work within client schedules
• Must have the ability to produce plan views, section views, elevations, conduit & cable schedules, and bills of material.
• Must be able to do overnight site visits. Estimated travel would be less than 5%.
• Must be able to use AutoCAD to view plot and edit drawings.
• Must be able to use Inventor and the SDS design tool.
• Must be willing to work with others in a supportive and collaborative manner.
