We are a multi-state insurance restoration company located in Arizona, Michigan and Texas. We are looking for an experienced, hard-working superintendent/project manager to join our team. We require that all potential candidates have experience in restoration and general knowledge of construction for consideration. The main duties and requirements of this job are listed below but duties may vary as needed. A list of construction experience or knowledge is included below; understanding such aspects of construction will assist in completing jobs and selecting appropriate subcontractors.
Job Duties and Requirements:
- Oversee a repair assignment in a way that both adheres to a budget and satisfies the customer.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers, insurance carriers, and subcontractors.
- Assist in minor demolition and minor construction on job sites as needed.
- Work with customers' schedules. This may require after hours or during weekends to complete deadlines.
- Select and schedule subcontractors in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Schedule different phases of work and completion and update supervisors both daily and in weekly company meetings.
- Effectively manage 8-10 projects at once.
- Manage both subcontractors and fellow employees ensuring that safety protocols are always followed.
- Ensure that all present staff and subcontractors follow a posted list of jobsite rules and expectations.
- Construction Knowledge:
- Drywall installation, taping, texturing, and hanging
- Insulation
- Painting
- Door and trim installation
- Basic knowledge of carpentry and framing
- Basic understanding of plumbing
- Basic understanding of electrical work
- Knowledge and experience using various tools
- Other Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must maintain a professional manner and appearance at all times.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others to complete goals and deadlines.
- Must be able to easily adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Must be able to quickly assess assignments and develop realistic schedules and strategies.
- Must have knowledge of insurance industry standards.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be a team player.
- Must be flexible and able to work days, nights, and weekends as needed.
- Must be 100% dedicated. Due to the nature of restoration work, we do not allow second jobs. No exceptions.
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Must have legible handwriting.
- Must have a reliable vehicle, current insurance, and a clean driving record.
