Supplier Quality Management Engineer

Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:



Supplier Quality Management Engineer - £34/hr (Inside IR35) - Midlands/Hybrid - 12 Months (potential for yearly renewal)



Position Description:

Supplier Quality Management Engineering focuses on planning, organizing, directing, and reporting on supplier provided raw materials, designed/manufactured goods, and packaging materials to ensure they meet or exceed requirements.



Responsibilities:

- Verifying and validating that suppliers and/or subcontractors have received engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements

- Monitoring quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities

- Ensuring programs are in place to improve supplier performance and productivity

- Reviewing and analysing corrective action reports to reduce/eliminate defects. May perform deviation investigations into quality issues.



Skills/Experience required:

- Ideally degree educated or significant relevant automotive engineering experience

- Must have prior experience within an Automotive Supplier Quality role

- Must be able to travel to client and supplier locations, mainly in the Midlands area.



Additional Information:

- Position will be Warwickshire or Coventry based with hybrid potential

- More than 50% of the time working in supplier sites, some home working can be included but primarily it will be either supplier visit or client site.

- Applicants must have a valid driving license and willing to travel within the UK, mostly around the Midlands.
