Opportunity
Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd (part of Textron Specialized Vehicles and a subsidiary of Textron Inc) are seeking a Supply Chain Director who will lead a team of Purchasing and Planning professionals to ensure the companies quality, cost, delivery and safety targets are met and driven through a culture of continuous improvement.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identify and develop strategic suppliers as part of the local sourcing strategy in order to maximize opportunity for cost savings, whilst retaining quality. Excellence in delivery, safety and environmental standards; through effective contract negotiation and relationship management;
- Lead and develop a team of Purchasing and Professionals and Production planners to ensure materials and resources are available to support the manufacturing and spare parts organisation;
- Develop talent within the supply chain team to ensure succession plans in place, to enable individual’s career growth;
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, report performance through management review meetings and KPIS;
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement that encourages positive partner participation;
- Responsible for MRP, inventory management: forecasting inventory projections, tracks and monitors inventory investment, and development and coordination of action plans to achieve inventory reduction goals;
- Responsible for monitoring and driving corrective action for Invoice Price Variances (IPV), Purchase Price Variances (PPV), year on year deflation (YOY);
- To proactively seek out new methods of purchasing and proactively exploit the potential of those approaches within the business;
- To support the development of analysis of the supply base to improve the understanding of supplier positioning, vulnerability management, contract development in line with the strategic requirements of the business.
