Supply Chain Manager - Aerospace Manufacturing

What you will be doing:

  • Strategically manage supply chain to yield product that is a balance of the highest quality at the most affordable price
  • Develop partnerships that will assure long-term success of both parties
  • Mitigate risk by developing multiple sources for all direct materials, components, and special process requirements
  • Establish long-term agreements for all critical direct materials, components, special process requirements
  • Mitigate risk through two-way communication, supplier performance monitoring, on-site supplier surveillance
  • Work with cross-functional teams represented by a member of department to assure requirements are successfully fulfilled
  • Strategically manage metal casting supplier base to assure our casting heavy system requirements are always fulfilled
  • Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of each casting source to strategically place our casting designs at the right source
  • Must have the ability to mitigate risk by dual sourcing critical high-volume castings from multiple suppliers.

What you need to qualify:

  • 10+ years' Supply Chain management experience within the Aerospace Industry
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management or Operations Management
  • Extensive Investment Casting expertise to successfully develop new metal casting source, provide technical metal casting support to solve casting problems at every level of process
  • Strong Leadership and Management skills
  • Experience with Purchasing, Accounting, Quoting, Engineering, Blueprint Interpretation, Metallurgy, Quality Control (AS9100) requirements, Non-Destructive Testing, Destructive Testing, Military/Aerospace specifications, EHS compliance
  • Must have the ability to professionally communicate at all levels
  • Foundry courses at The American Foundrymen Society/ Cast Metals Institute. Numerous classes on Heat Treat, Metallurgy, Non-Destructive Testing, a plus but not required
  • Travel as required to support projects
