Supply Chain Process Leader

We are looking for a Supply Chain Process Leader, Europe to work on a fixed-term basis until January 2026 for our client who are a well-established global manufacturer of technically advanced specialty materials and complex components based in Central Sheffield.



The Package and work pattern for the Supply Chain Process Leader, Europe role:



* Salary: £39,000 per annum



* Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday



* Location: Central Sheffield (Home working 2 days a week available)



* Contract: Fixed term, until January 2026



Key Responsibilities for the Supply Chain Process Leader, Europe role:



* Support external direct procurement activity – place orders and expedite progress (primarily external supply chain)



* Obtain commercial quotations related to external sub-contractors on behalf of MPS



* Manage Import & Export Control processes



* Handle Customer Invoicing



* Manage consumables stock levels and re-order processes



* Conduct commercial negotiation for consumable parts



* Arrange logistics requirements in relation to supply chain activity



* Provide additional administration support for work orders, including quality archiving processes



* Support day-to-day execution and administration of activities relating to Import and Export control



* Ensure appropriate paperwork is completed and in place



* Resolve or escalate issues/queries within the business



* Support processes related to indirect procurement activity for European countries



* Provide additional support functions in relation to operations as required



Key Relationships for the Supply Chain Process Leader, Europe role:



1. Reports To: Supply Chain Manager, Europe



2. Additional Reporting Line: European Operations Director



3. Required Competencies for the Supply Chain Process Leader, Europe role:



4. Understanding of production planning processes and techniques



5. Awareness of manufacturing environment and processes (aerospace experience highly desirable)



6. Commercial acumen (purchase negotiation skills)



7. Knowledge of procurement processes



8. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)



Essential Qualifications for the Supply Chain Process Leader, Europe role:



1. Relevant experience in supply chain management or procurement



2. Strong understanding of production planning processes and techniques



3. Knowledge of manufacturing environments and processes



Desirable Qualifications:



1. Experience in aerospace industry



2. Qualifications in supply chain management or related field



The Company:

Role Purpose:



The primary purpose of the Supply Chain Process Leader is to support the activities of the Supply Chain Manager. This role is crucial in administering supply chain activities, managing import and export control, and supporting indirect procurement for European countries.



Additional Information:



This role involves supporting the wider operations organization with general administrative duties as needed.
