Position Summary: The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing supply chain processes including purchasing, production planning, and customer account management. This role is essential in optimizing inventory levels, ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers, and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business success.

- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Monitor and analyze inventory to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages.
- Manage customer inquiries, evaluate pricing, process orders, coordinate shipments and track deliveries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, sales and accounting to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Prepare detailed sales and inventory forecast information based on customer orders and anticipated sales.
- Accurate order entry and shipment tracking to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Prepare quotes for customers and manage all follow-up activities.
- Resolve product and service issues.
- Review and improve supply chain processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Source materials, locate vendors, and negotiate pricing and terms as needed.
- Monitor and report on key supply chain metrics including inventory turnover, on-time delivery and cost savings.
- Prepare executive summaries for internal executive team.
- Stay informed about industry trends and developments in the supply chain industry to drive continuous improvement within the team.

Education/Experience:
· Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability:
· Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
Mathematical Ability:
· Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
