Description
The Supply Chain Practice Leader is passionate about the profession. They are a problem solver, innovator and have intellectual curiosity. They will have a desire and heart for making an impact on the profession. They will ensure the design, development, and delivery of high-quality content, product and solutions for procurement and supply chain practitioners. The product and solutions they develop will solve organizational and/or the practitioners current challenges or future anticipated challenges that meet or exceed customer expectations and drive revenue. Therole will help ensure the product and solutions ISM offer help maintain or advance ISMs position as the market leader in procurement and supply chain education, assessments, content, and thought leadership.
The incumbent will regularly facilitate interactions with ISM team, ISM members, customers, volunteers, subject matter experts, suppliers, and stakeholders to develop content, collaborate, answer questions, share and gather information, coordinate, plan or advise. They will also proactively stay current in the profession and anticipate/or predict future trends.
Functional responsibilities will include facilitating discussions with both internal and external stakeholders to understand customer challenges and develop or recommend solutions to fill customer need.The Practice Leader will also present to customers on key supply chain topics or challenges, product solutions and assist sales team as needed as a supply chain SME and expertise of product solutions. Additionally this role will work with corporate clients to improve supply chain performance by training supply management professionals. The successful applicant must be a dynamic communicator who can engage customers and class participants from a variety of backgrounds, levels of experience, and industries.
Success in the position will require understanding procurement and supply chain management and connecting customer conversations and feedback to develop or update content, products and solutions.Also, experience with action learning techniques including, training, change management and facilitating exercises, case studies, as well as solid experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain.Excellent presentation skills and customer relations are a must.
Required Skills:
8+ years experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related function. CPSM or equivalent certification .
Ability to travel to facilitate training classes, speaking engagements, customer meetings when needed
A dynamic, engaging communication style
Strong presentation skills, in-person and in a virtual environment
Competent with data analysis where it is required for demonstration in training delivery and content development. Advanced Microsoft Excel or equivalent .
Ability to use technology, laptop computers, and the Microsoft Office suite of tools
