About the OPPORTUNITY We have a new opportunity for a ILS Supportability Engineering Lead within our Maritime Sustainment business, working on the newest ship platform, the Hobart Class DDG naval ships. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your ILS/Supportability Engineering expertise and provide leadership to our Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) team. This key role will be situated in either Garden Island (Potts Point), Sydney or other interstate locations. You will be employed on a permanent full time basis, a part time option will also be considered. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, including working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working. Key responsibilities include: Estimate, resource and deliver the ILS/Supportability Engineering requirements of project Provide leadership to the ILS/Supportability Engineering team, coach and develop personnel, fostering a high performance culture Provide direction and support to the team in the development of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Analysis and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) products developed Investigate ILS/Supportability Engineering problems and risks, and formulate strategies for their resolution Provide sound ILS/supportability engineering advice, collaborate effectively with customers, internal and external stakeholders Lead the development of ILS/Supportability Engineering solutions, including the optimisation and review of these solutions in design reviews About YOU Extensive ILS/supportability engineering experience and a relevant qualification Experience with Failure Modes Effect Analysis and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) analysis, Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) Experience providing effective leadership, direction and motivation to teams Good customer and subcontractor management skills, and the ability to influence and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Self-motivation, agility to adapt to a changing environment, and driven to improve current process and solve problems We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
