Survey Technician - Civil Survey

Job Summary:

This position must be able to complete drafting projects, ALTA surveys, subdivision plats, topographic surveys, permit plats, building layouts, and preparing block sheets for construction staking services while working under minimal supervision.

Accountability and Duties:

Responsible for timely completion of drafting projects


Accurately completes ALTA surveys with minimal supervision


Accurately completes subdivision plats with minimal supervision


Accurately completes topographic surveys with minimal supervision


Accurately completes permit plats with minimal supervision


Accurately completes building layouts with minimal supervision


Accurately completes foundation surveys with minimal supervision


Accurately grading surveys with minimal supervision


Accurately prepares block sheets for construction staking services with minimal supervision


Keeps supervisors informed of work load and any changes in project scope or additional services


Maintains a good relationship with clients and staff


Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects


Provides an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a daily basis


Qualification Requirements

:

0-4 years of CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D )


Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma and/or CAD Tech education


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid driver's license


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Available to work overtime as needed to complete projects


Available to occasionally work in the field performing surveying tasks


Knowledge of industry related software


Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D


Desire to learn and improve CAD skills and survey knowledge


Must be fluent in the English
