Sustainability and Compliance Manager

The Company



Our client is a market leading manufacturing company. They now have a new role for a Sustainability and Compliance Manager.



The Role



* Develop and implement sustainability strategy.



* Ensure business remains compliant with all regulatory requirements.



* Influence culture to ensure sustainability is a core topic within the business.



* Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to maintain compliance and stay ahead of legislation.



* Drive company activity to maximise re-use opportunity.



* Ensure the accuracy of data collection for internal and external reporting.



* Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare key sustainability information for internal and external communication.



* Monitor industry best practice, share and implement new initiatives.



* Represent business at relevant industry working groups and events.



* Develop knowledge of appropriate legislation and regulations.



* Develop Life Cycle Assessments.



* Manage sustainability and compliance team (Sustainable Process Manager, Environmental Coordinator, Management System Coordinator).



* Manage waste streams and external contractors.



* Maintain and develop management system.



* Prepare gap analysis and implement countermeasures.



* Identify and drive net zero strategy.



The Person



* You will ideally be degree qualified.



* Have experience in a similar role.



* Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability frameworks and best practices.



* Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.



* Ability to analyse data and prepare reports for various audiences.



* Project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.



* Will have sustainability and compliance management experience and knowledge.
