Description Sustainability Capability and Stakeholder Engagement ManagerPosition PurposeAs a pivotal member of our Sustainability team, the Sustainability engagement & capacity building manager plays a critical role in advancing our regenerative ambition by fostering a culture of sustainability within our organization and creating the right strategic external partnerships. This multifaceted position involves driving education, engagement, and capacity building initiatives. Moreover, the role is instrumental in ensuring the right content is available on both internal and external platforms, while concurrently developing and updating tools to upskill our workforce.Brambles’ regenerative strategy is at the leading edge of business model innovation worldwide and will underpin Brambles’ brand, reputation and, ultimately, how it creates long-term value. This makes the role globally relevant and extremely unique, and like Brambles’ circular business model, it will help define a template for other businesses to adopt.ScopeGlobal, across all business units, including regional Sustainability teams, Transformation and supporting the corporate functions. Supports the Brambles’ 2025 Sustainability targets programme with strategies to accelerate progress in key areas.MeasuresProposed measures:Quality of content created and training programmes developed.Increased participation in sustainability education programs.Positive feedback from employees on the relevance and effectiveness of sustainability training.Employee engagement ratesIncreased presence of sustainability in reasons why employees join and stay at the company.Progress against our sustainability targetsUsage metrics for materials and tools developed for upskilling employees.Improvement in sustainability-related skills among the workforce.Positive trends in employee satisfaction surveys related to sustainability initiatives.Increased awareness and understanding of the company's sustainability goals among employees.Number of new partnerships established with multi-stakeholder initiatives and sustainability forums.Active participation in key industry events and forums.Metrics on the consumption of sustainability-related content on internal and external platforms.Regular updates and positive feedback on the quality of content.Major/Key AccountabilitiesEducation and Training:Develop and implement comprehensive educational programmes on Brambles’ material sustainability topics, including decarbonization, lumber certification and chain of custody, waste, water, social impact, and others.Tailor educational materials and programmes to address different stakeholder groups and varying levels of seniority within the organization.Create and update tools to upskill employees, providing them with the necessary resources to incorporate sustainability into their roles.Work closely with Learning & Development to identify opportunities for leveraging existing e-learning platformsDesign and implement continuous learning programs to keep employees informed about the latest sustainability trends and developments.Employee Engagement:Foster a sense of ownership and commitment to sustainability goals among plant staff through targeted engagement initiatives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices and regenerative mindset into day-to-day operations.Talent Attraction and Employee Value Proposition (EVP):Work closely with HR and Marketing teams to embed sustainability initiatives into our EVP, contributing to the organization's appeal as an employer of choice.Develop and implement content to communicate Brambles’ leading regenerative story to potential and existing employees.Content and platform management:Ensure the availability of relevant content on both internal and external sites, aligning with sustainability messaging and goals.Regularly update and curate content to reflect the latest industry trends and company initiatives.Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement:Establish and nurture partnerships with multi-stakeholder initiatives, industry events, and sustainability forums to enhance our presence in the sustainability community.Represent the company at relevant events, fostering connections with key stakeholders and staying abreast of industry best practices.Employee Feedback Mechanisms:Maximise value derived from existing feedback mechanismsIdentify and establish, if relevant, additional channels for employees to provide feedback and suggestions related to sustainability initiatives.Use employee input to refine and improve sustainability programs.Key contactsSustainability teamDecarbonisationSupply chainLearning & DevelopmentHRCommunicationsKey Stakeholders across projects and cross-functional teams.Transformation Office.Functional leadersRelevant Industry groupsSustainability ForumsSustainability learning platformsUniversitiesCreative design studiosEssential Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fieldDesirable QualificationsMasters in a relevant fieldSpecific studies in sustainability and educationCertifications in training and developmentExperienceActive participation in Sustainability programProven experience in designing and delivering sustainability education programs.Research and analysis Experience in working in a matrix environment.Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership building.Skills and KnowledgeAbility to collaborate across departments and influence positive change.Strong understanding of sustainability related topics (including decarbonisation)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage employees at all levels.Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving regenerative impact.Self-motivated, independent and results orientedAbility to motivate and engage direct and indirect team members and stakeholdersExcellent presentationskillsExcellent influencing skillsAdaptable and highly organisedAbility to work effectively under tight timelines & within resource constraints.LanguagesEssential EnglishDesirableSpanish or other languages desirablePreferred EducationBachelorsPreferred Level of Work Experience3 -
