Sustainability Engineer II/III
Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Sustainability Engineer II /III to join our team based out of any of the following locations (PA/NJ/MA).
In this role, you will leverage opportunities in the project planning design, and construction phases and beyond to reduce energy, carbon, water, and waste intensities. You should be technically and analytically minded, and able to articulate ideas and concepts, using research of proven strategies and the latest technologies to guide fellow colleagues and partners toward innovative designs. You should also understand the nature of change management and be prepared to defend ideas and earn buy-in, among both colleagues and clients.
Projects are primarily in the life science, biotech, and pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors, and frequently contribute to larger client portfolio standards and targets around scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and intensity reductions.
What You'll Do
Project support for new capital projects and existing facilities:
Assist the Sustainability team and collaborate with project teams to identify opportunities for sustainable design, construction, and operations strategies.
Analyse feasibility for rating systems like LEED and WELL.
Energy benchmarking, calculations and analysis in support of energy modeling efforts.
Collect data and metrics for internal and corporate reporting requirements of frameworks such as CDP and GRI.
Research the latest advances in sustainable technologies for both general building design and specialized manufacturing processes.
Focus areas include energy, carbon, water, waste, and health & wellbeing.
Generate reports and present findings.
Organize information in a collaborative, knowledge-sharing fashion, collecting, and developing lessons learned and case studies.
Promote the advancement of the green building industry, collaborating with local and industry groups and participating in conferences and webinars.
Organizing research and reference material in an easily accessible manner.

Qualifications & Requirements:
2 - 5+ years of industry experience in green building design, engineering, consulting, or project management, preferably in the life sciences or manufacturing sectors.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably in engineering, architecture, or another technical/design program.
Experience in energy surveys and analysis.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Ability to learn new software and interfaces.
Enthusiastic and resilient, innovative, and technically grounded.
Qualifications
LEED GA or AP with specialty.
WELL AP and/or FitWel.
Energy modeling experience.
Experience with CAD.
Context, Environment, & Safety
Travel based on the project location.
This position is a safety-sensitive position.
Some travel nationally may be expected.
The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas.
