This is a fabulous opportunity for a SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER to "future proof" this business in terms of sustainability and to fully implement all the legal requirements around the Net Zero government target . It's an exciting opportunity to get really involved and get measurable outcomes in reducing all food-related waste . The aim of this role is to support the ambitious Board Level sustainability strategy and reduce reliance on precious resources such as water etc. This is an unusual opportunity for an "eco -warrior" with an awareness of all sustainability legislation to make a tangible ( measurable ) difference to an huge international company within the sensitive political area of food-related waste

TITLE Sustainability Manager

Level : Senior role in Environmental supply chain

\n

Salary : £66,000 (comprised of base of £60k + £6,000 bonus and many other outstanding benefits including education support )

\n

Company Sector : Hospitality, restaurants , food and catering

\n

Work style: Hybrid ( 3 days in the office/2 days wfh)

\n

Location : High Wycombe

\n

Team : Food packaging sustainability team

\n

Duties

\n

    \n
  • Developing and delivering the agreed sustainability strategy & goals
  • \n

  • Setting targets for resource reductions such as use of water, CO2 emissions reductions, packaging waste, recycling etc
  • \n

  • Engaging with teams to ensure the strategy is implemented
  • \n

  • Reporting progress against targets to the Board on a quarterly basis
  • \n

  • Staying on top of waste and packaging legislation from a supply chain perspective
  • \n

  • Liaising with a network of sustainability organisations to help with new ideas
  • \n

Requirements

  • Proven track record in developing sustainability strategies
  • \n

  • Awareness of new sustainability legislation
  • \n

  • A food, packaging and equipment sourcing supply chain background is essential
  • \n
