Senior Vice President of Operations - Residential Production Builder

Position Overview: Our growing residential production building company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Vice President of Operations to lead and optimize our operational functions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the efficiency of our residential construction projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic operational plans to align with the company's overall goals and objectives. Collaborate with executive leadership to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of residential construction projects, from planning and design to completion and delivery. Implement best practices in project management to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary operations team, including project managers, site supervisors, and support staff. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture, promoting professional development and accountability.

Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Implement best practices in residential construction, staying abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.

Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce rigorous quality control measures to ensure the highest standards in residential construction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve any quality issues promptly.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate and manage them effectively. Implement safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment on construction sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in residential construction operations, with a track record of successful project management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
  • In-depth knowledge of residential construction processes, materials, and industry best practices
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
