Systems Analyst

Description Job Title: Service Management Analyst, Junior Clearance: Must be able to obtain a public trust. (will not be able to start until they obtain the clearance, average 4-8 weeks). Due to a candidate having to receive a DOT Public Trust, a Candidate must be a U.S. or green card holder who has resided in the U.S. for at least 3 years Summary: Support the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) infrastructure, services, and application monitoring systems. This role involves configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting monitoring tools, as well as analyzing and reporting on system performance. They will be responsible for supporting the Service Management System operations, to include engineers and the SMS development life cycle. Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day operational support for monitoring systems. Support technical projects involving monitoring applications. Oversee and coordinate recovery operations in the event of operational failure. Identify gaps in monitoring for supported environments. Recommend, develop, and maintain accurate documentation for supported environments. Support system upgrades for monitoring tools. Participate in weekly on-call rotations. Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years of experience providing Service Management System (SMS) administration services. Experience managing SMS development activities and proficiency in applying SDLC and DevOps principles. Knowledge of the current DOT SMS (currently Remedy). Strong background in monitoring Windows, Linux, VMware, and cloud environments. Experience managing enterprise monitoring infrastructure. Experience with administration and configuration of monitoring applications such as OpenText Operations Bridge, OpenText UCMDB, OpenText Hyperscale Observability, Microsoft SCOM, WhatsUpGold, SiteScope, or other enterprise monitoring systems.
